Why Number 56? Sunday 25th May 1947, The 9th Rome Grand Prix in Italy, A very important day in Ferrari history as this was the day when Ferrari won its 1st race. The little 125 S (car number 56) driven by Franco Cortese took the lead from the start on the Terme Di Caracalla Circuit. Ferrari's long and successful career started with Franco Cortese.
